By analyzing the broken wire structure of the outer strand of the steel wire rope of the ship unloader, it is considered that the martensite on the surface of the steel wire caused by the short-term static friction between the steel wire rope and the pulley due to insufficient lubrication is the root cause of the reduction of the service life of the steel wire rope. Improving the quality of the grease used in the manufacturing process of the steel wire rope and increasing the adhesion of the surface grease are important technical measures to improve the service life of the steel wire rope for this purpose.


The steel wire rope of ship unloader can be divided into pitching steel wire rope, hoisting steel wire rope, grab steel wire rope and trolley traction steel wire rope according to the application position. Among them, the pitching wire rope has the longest service cycle, the trolley traction wire rope has the smallest specification, and the hoisting wire rope and grab wire rope have the largest specification and are replaced most frequently. Generally, the structure and specification of hoisting wire rope and grab wire rope are consistent.


At present, the steel wire rope used by ship unloaders has two structures: 6-strand and 8-strand. According to the structural characteristics of the rope strand, it is divided into parallel twisted strand and compacted strand, and some also use the plastic filling process. In the early stage, ship unloader wire ropes were mainly imported brands, mainly including South Korea DSR, Britain bridge, Germany Casar and Japan tesac. At present, domestic products account for the main share.


The short-time static friction between the steel wire rope and the supporting pulley is one of the important reasons for the early fracture of the steel wire. Through the comparison of the surface wear of the steel wire rope and the actual improvement of the service life of the steel wire rope, the correctness of the technical measures to prevent the formation of martensite in the process of use by strengthening the lubrication of the steel wire rope manufacturing process and reducing its friction with the matching pulley is verified.


In the production of ship unloader steel wire rope, non asphalt based surface grease with outstanding lubrication characteristics is used to reduce the friction between the steel wire rope and the matching wheel groove and achieve good results. However, when increasing the oil pouring of rope closing, we still consider to avoid the possibility of dripping due to the excessive amount of lubricating grease attached to the surface of the steel wire rope, so the oil pouring of the steel wire rope is not very sufficient. From the actual tracking situation, the wear of the steel wire rope passing through the pulley section is still relatively heavy. In practice, due to the existence of deflection angle, when the steel wire rope enters the pulley or drum, its motion state is no longer a simple linear motion, but a composite motion composed of linear motion and rotary motion. This kind of movement determines that the steel wire rope has the characteristics of eccentric wear. The lubrication between the steel wire rope and the surface of the matching wheel groove is insufficient, and its appearance wear is undoubtedly more obvious. This is the main reason why the steel wire rope continues to have relatively uneven wear in the use process after using the strand and rope oil lubrication process.


The steel wire rope lubrication system is suitable for such working conditions, which effectively solves the problem of insufficient oil dripping on the steel wire rope, a large amount of grease dripping, and efficient cleaning and lubrication. Suitable for all kinds of complex wire rope lubrication.
